If there's one word for this year's Grammy red carpet, it's wow. Eye-popping jewelry and intricately embellished gowns abounded!
Statement jewelry continued to rule the red carpet. Beyonce wore huge gold hoops with triangle drops dangling beneath them, reportedly by Beyonce favorite Lorraine Schwartz. Sheryl Crow embodied one of our favorite style rules by keeping it incredibly simple with a black Bottega Veneta halter accented with jaw-dropping round gold medallion earrings, a stunning gold cuff and oversized ring with a huge green stone. Taylor Swift accented her dazzling sequined blue green gown with huge chandeliers and a wrist full of chunky bangles. Miley Cyrus accessorized her au currant Max Azria minidress with a huge turquoise ring and long layered necklaces.
Jeweled embellishments weren't limited to necklaces, rings, and earrings - many stars opted for gowns with intricate gem detailing. Pink wore a strapless mermaid gown encrusted with jewels at the neckline and waist. Katy Perry said that the gold flower accents on her Zac Posen gown were inspired by her recent trip to India, while Ciara evoked 90s Janet Jackson and the recent lingerie trend in her Givenchy outfit, which glittered with square black stones.
Geometric necklines, popular at the Golden Globes, also made an appearance on the Grammy red carpet. Carrie Underwood dazzled in a 1-shouldered platinum gown with interlocking squares and triangles at the collar, while Mary J. Blige looked futuristically chic in a red Gucci gown, accented with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
