As we head towards 2010, InStyle Magazine has come up with a list of the best dresses to hit the red carpet from 2000-2009. Many memorable fashion moments, from J. Lo's infamous plunging Versace gown (above) to Reese Witherspoon's bright yellow Nina Ricci (above), made the list.

Their dazzling dozen - the 12 most stunning looks of the entire decade - was a champagne dream, comprised of many pale-hued platinum, pink, and silver dresses worn by Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, and Cate Blanchett (above).

Heather Locklear in Michael Kors, 2002: Locklear's stunning mini (above) foretold several trends that are hot now: the combination of turquoise and taupe; the concept of "alternative bling", with a halter style top that doubled as a necklace; a short hemline that shows off the legs.

Kate Hudson in Valentino, 2003: Hudson makes the list several times, but the colorful patterned Valentino (above) she wore to the Golden Globe Awards is one of her best. Capturing her free spirit perfectly, Hudson looked comfortable and gorgeous in the strapless, flowing gown.

Sienna Miller in Marchesa, 2007: Flirty and floral, Miller's short layered dress (above) evoked an almost modern Gatsby feel.
